Today I would like to give you some verses from the Bible that are also prayers. The first one is from Psalm 20 and when my sister (I'll call her Dab) was going through the pains and heartbreak of what seemed to be infertility, I (and many others) prayed for her and this Psalm is one thing I prayed.
May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. Selah
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Psalm 20:1-8 (NIV)
Dab wanted a baby with all her heart. She and her husband tried and tried to get pregnant but nothing was happening. I wish I could remember all the details and all the things that she went through -- I might have to get her to write down the whole story. But after much time and money were spent, and even the in vitro fertilization that looked hopeful failed, Dab hit rock bottom. She became so discouraged and so depressed that we were all very worried about her. But after a while, she picked herself up and decided to look into the possibility of adoption. She totally immersed herself into the process and stopped thinking about the possibility of ever becoming pregnant. About two months later, we were all meeting at our parents house to watch an Alabama football game. And that's when she told us .................she was pregnant! One of those verses above talks about shouting for joy; we were shouting, hugging, jumping up and down like crazy people and the football game had not even started! Oh, we were all so excited that Dab was finally going to have the baby she had longed for and prayed for. The pregnancy went fine and that precious baby boy is 13 years old now. He's good looking and is a good football player for his school and an all-around great kid.
God is awesome.

Nothing is impossible for our God
Children are the greatest gifts God can give us. There are so many people out there that take these small blessings for granted. It is so gloreous to here of some one that deserved to get one of these precious blessings. God Bless:)
