I love this sitemeter that I put on my blog a while back. It's sorta like having caller ID on your phone so you can see who's visited your blog. And believe me, I check it faithfully every day. I immediately recognize the ones who visit regularly, but then there are people who found the blog through a google search. Now, this has been one of the most interesting things about it for me. I love reading the search words people use to surf the internet. I've been surprised at how many people have done searches about some issue with their neighbor's dog and came across my blog that way. That's because I did a few posts about a situation with my neighbor's dog a while back. (For anyone who remembers that, everything is good with us and the neighbors and they aren't mad with us). Some others find my blog because they are looking for a prayer for their daughter and I had done one entitled A Prayer for My Daughter. I get a few who are looking for something about Rush of Fools since I have mentioned that group several times. But the search words I get the most excited about are the ones where people type in something about A Plea for Purging. I mean, I have had people from different countries like Brazil, Germany and tonight someone from Chile searching for A Plea for Purging. It just makes me happy to know that they are becoming known a little more so hopefully all this touring they're doing is paying off. But, back to the subject of the sitemeter, I've had a lot of fun with it and I know who you are, where you're located and what internet service you're using!
But with all that information I can get from the sitemeter, it's nothing compared to what God knows about me, you and every person in this world. He knows where we are every minute of the day, He knows what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong, He knows every thought in our minds and every emotion in our hearts, He knows how many hairs are on our heads and He knows when we'll take our last breath. It's comforting to me to know that God is always with me and He's watching my every move. He created us and He loves us.
Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. Psalm 139:1-4

I LOVE how you combine ideas with God-related paragraphs and Biblical verses. :-)))
I'm GLAD to hear that your neighbors aren't mad at you. I've also had fun checking up how others came across my blog hi hi hi hi hi hi...Sometimes the search words can be VERY surprising!!!!!
I too enjoy knowing where people are who check out my blog.
We should be just as aware of God checking us daily. That can be hard to handle sometimes. But loves us anyway
Btw, Kathy, how's your daughter doing? :-)))
Hi Amel, Leah is doing really well. She seems to love the classes that have to do with her major of Human Services. And I think the thing that is helping her the most right now is.........she's in love! Or at least she thinks she is. Time will tell. Thanks for asking!
It is interesting all the ways people have found your blog. I have a site meter too. I need to check it out and see if there are any google searches on mine.
I love my site meter...I like how you worded that...God is so good! I am glad that He is my Dad and has me in His hands..!!
As some know who read my blog, WIXY's gone Bananas, I occasionally like to take on a Cleveland talk show host. One time I called him and told him that I was one who posted on the radio forum on Cleveland.com. He became rude with me and I had posted on my blog about it and placed a link on the forum.
The next day, my blog got a record number of hits, many from computers at Clear Channel Cleveland. I went on the forum and posted that I knew when clear Channel employees were on. I was told that I was "full of it." So my next post on the message board, I posted a link to my site meter where it said Clear Channel. Needless to say, I don't get too many hits from that building anymore.
Hi kathy
Thats neat!!!
I usually check it when I get the nasty anonymous comment.I think its me and that they follow me around !!!
How neat! I love the way you put all this together.
Blessings,
Lori
I think checking trackers is a secondary addiction after blogging. I've always wanted to do a post with nothing but phrases to attract a whack of Google hits. Maybe one weekend.
OH MY! I never knew such a thing as a sitemeter existed! Here, all along, I thought I was stealth and anonymous. I've set up an account on sitemeter. My heart is beating so fast. I almost feel like I shouldn't snoop, but if Kathy's doing it... well, then, I think this might be a lot of fun. I don't think I'll tell anyone I have it... I mean... except for you and the people reading this comment:)
Let's take this bad boy to the next level -- I had someone hit mine because of the comment that you left containing the phrase "plea eats prada".
