Well, here it is Monday morning once again. I've had a busy past few days, busy but good. I praise God for his goodness, his provision and his protection. He is able to meet our needs and to give us so much more than we ever hoped for. God is almighty, all-powerful, all-knowing, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent. He is the most high God who is strong, sovereign and supreme. He is the unchangeable, everlasting God.
Today I just feel like praising the Lord for who he is. I feel such gratitude to him for all the wonderful things he has done. For several nights, we had the honor and pleasure of being able to have in our home our daughter, and our son plus the other 4 members of the band. A situation that was bad for them -- transportation problems and breakdowns -- turned into a good time for us to spend time with them. It also turned into good for them as God provided new, reliable transportation for them. Things that were absolutely out of their control happened during those days that caused them to have to cancel a couple of shows. But sometimes things that look bad in our eyes, are really meant for good by God.
One of my favorite Bible stories is the one of Joseph in the book of Genesis. So many bad things seemed to be happening to him, but it was all according to God's will and in the end he was placed in a high position. If you aren't familiar with the events in Joseph's life, I encourage you to read that story, starting around Genesis 37 and on through chapter 50. It's a great story of hope!
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20
