The Resurrection

What is it that proves Jesus really rose from the dead?
Well the answer to that question is very simple...the Bible. And now that we've dealt with that question I want to move to another question. I don't want to talk about how we prove the resurrection, the Bible proves the resurrection. It is the Word of God and it says Jesus Christ rose from the dead and that settles it. The issue, frankly, is not what proves the resurrection, the issue is what does the resurrection prove? What does the resurrection prove? And the answer is, basically, the full redemptive plan and purpose of God. In fact, the resurrection is the key to everything.
(John MacArthur)

Happy Easter! Today we celebrate the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ. I used a quote by John MacArthur who is the preacher on a the radio program, Grace to You. I heard this sermon a few days ago and I found the text of it on his website. He talked about that there were many, many books written on how to prove the resurrection. But he said the Bible says it, so that is all the proof we need. If you are interested in reading the complete text of John MacArthur's message, click here. Have a wonderful Easter!

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:6

How was your Easter? I sure pray it was good.

I'd love to see you Order of Worship sometime. Just wondering what other churches sing.

Hi Lori, My Easter was very nice, kinda quiet. We'd already had a big family thing a few days earlier, so after church my daughter and I made lunch for just us at home.
I'll try to let you know some of the things we sing at church. The one where I play is more traditional, whereas my own church has more of a variety in the music.

Happy belated Easter.

I just had to comment on this one as a non-believer- if you don't believe that the bible is the word of God, then that justification doesn't clear anything up. That's why we look for other answers.

Maybe one day we'll believe it, but in the meantime, we need something we can relate to a little easier.

Hi Prin, thanks for your comment and your honesty. I appreciate that you read my blog which is so open about my beliefs even though you have different beliefs. I hope you'll keep reading it. I welcome your comments!
